VKV Ramnagar celebrated its annual sports meet from 27th December, 2022 to 29th December, 2022. Our Chief guest for the opening day was Dr. Prabin Pattanayak, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication,NIT Silchar and our guest-of-honour was Sri Niharendu Dhar, Deputy Registrar, NIT Silchar. On the opening day, our programme started with a Mangalacharan along with lighting the lamp by our guests accompanied by Principal Sir, Sri Bijan Saha and Bimalendu Roy Sir. Welcome speech for the day was given by our Principal Sir followed by welcome song sung by some selected students. Our guest Dr. Prabin Pattanayak hoisted the sports flag and that was followed by the march past done by our four groups. The leaders of the the houses took the oath and lighted the sports torch. Next, our chief guest delivered his speech and declared the opening of the sports meet. The opening day had some programmes performed by our students. First, we had action dance, performed by the KG students followed by mass PT, Surya Namaskar followed by another action dance Girls of Classes V,VI and VII performed Saree drill followed by human pyramid of boys of Class VI and VII. The opening ceremony was concluded with martial art demonstration by some selected students.
